Demoted to Extra: After his possession is completely prevented when starting the Kill The Monkey route, he appears much less in scenes, due to the fact that a large portion of the scenes he appears in during the course of the game occur after he has gotten possessed.

Demonic Possession: Xavier gradually take over his body over the course of Sengoku Rance.

Played straight for his Kichikuou Rance counterpart, where he instead overrides Xavier's will and plans to take on the Continent.

Demon King Nobunaga: Entirely subverted until he's taken over by Xavier, but it can be Double Subverted on several non-canon routes.

Cutting Off the Branches: While it is possible to save him from his fate on New Game+, the True Route ends with his death.

Continuity Nod: Gets mentionned in Rance IX as part of the Twelve Knights, a ideal group of twelve men chosen by the Witch Miracle.

Celibate Hero: He doesn't want to have a new relationship, out of love for his late wife Oda Kichou.

Big Brother Instinct: Managed to hold Xavier's possession for some time, especially when his sister is concerned.

Affectionate Gesture to the Head: Gives one to Kou to tease her, or whenever she gets depressed.

Adaptational Nice Guy: He's considerably nicer than his real life and Kichikuou Rance counterpart.

Once a former warlord, he retired from battle and prefers to spend time with his sister Kou in their dango cafe.

Oda Nobunaga / KazusanosukeThe actual Head of the Nobunaga House, he decided to give the reins to Rance as he proved himself to be the next ruler of Nippon. Its current leader is Oda Nobunaga (although Rance leads the house from the shadows). They used to have the greatest number of territories, but since the death of the previous Lord in the Great Youkai War, they only have the province of Owari left.
